CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
We believe that growing in faith is a life long journey and we offer Christian Education opportunities for people of all ages. Sunday School is offered September through May for children ages 3 through 6th grade following the Sunday morning service. Vacation Bible School is offered every summer. Confirmation classes are offered for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Please contact the Church Office for the Confirmation class schedule. Youth and adults have the opportunity to gather for learning and fellowship following the Sunday service during educational forums which are scheduled several times throughout the year. We also offer Adult Bible Study on Wednesdays throughout the year.
FELLOWSHIP
Worship is the center of our life together. In fact, worship is an integral part of our identity. We are people gathered by the Holy Spirit around Word and sacrament. This gathering together of God’s people draws us closer both to God and one another. From the weekly “coffee hour” that follows Sunday worship to special events such as potluck suppers, family game events, gingerbread decorating, concerts, and church picnics, we at Faith Lutheran Church value the importance of community and fellowship in our life together. Parish life at Faith means sharing each other’s joys and sorrows. Whether we are celebrating the birth of a baby or grieving the death of a loved one, we are there for one another.
OUTREACH AND MISSION
We believe that God calls us to reach out in Christian love to one another. While an important part of our commitment as members of a faith community includes caring for one another, much of our ministry is directed outside the walls of our congregation to our local community and beyond. We believe that Christ calls us to reach out in love to those who are most vulnerable and in need.
STEWARDSHIP
We believe that all we have comes as a gift from God and that it is our duty and joy to share our time, abilities and financial resources for the sake of mission. Our congregation is committed to giving over 10% (the biblical tithe) of its income in support of the wider church and other worthy ministries. We believe that our congregation’s example of “first fruits, proportionate giving” is something all Christians should practice. As stewards entrusted with the care of God’s good creation, we are also called to make ecologically responsible choices both individually and as a congregation.
